Symptoms of pelvic floor dysfunction are more common than we think, with it being shown that 1 in 3 women experience urinary incontinence, 1 in 10 faecal incontinence and 1 in 12 prolapse. The first line treatment for these symptoms in the current NICE guidelines is individualised and guided pelvic floor muscle training with a physiotherapist. So please know that there IS help.
